The local section is committed to supporting student travel to regional and national chemistry conferences. Undergraduate and graduate students presenting research at such meetings may apply for travel awards of up to $300, depending on the conference type. Application materials and award sizes are listed below. Please send all materials as a single PDF file to the Secretary of the local section (Christopher Grieco) no later than two weeks prior to the start of the conference the student will be attending. Travel award selection will be based on financial need, student graduation timeline, previous record of travel award selection, and type of chemistry conference. For example, students who have not received an award, those who are close to graduation, and those attending ACS conferences will be given preference.

• National Fall/Spring ACS Conference – $300 Award
• Other Chemistry Related Conference – $200 Award
  • Regional ACS Meeting (SERMACS, SWRM, etc…)

  • AIChE
  • Gordon Conference
